Chairman - Declan Lavelle
Partner, Lane Clark and Peacock Ireland Ltd
Declan has over 18 years experience in the Irish insurance industry, specialising in non-life
insurance. He has wide experience in claims reserving, product pricing, financial modelling and
business intelligence. Declan is an Irish signing actuary and is a member of the Society of
Actuaries in Ireland's non-life Solvency II sub-committee.
Joe Monk
Partner, Lane Clark and Peacock LLP
Joe leads LCP's UK Insurance Consulting practice. He is a Lloyd's and an Irish signing actuary,
as well as a recognised expert in clinical negligence. Joe has recently been involved as an
expert witness in cases concerning the indexation of periodical payments.
Andrew Cox
Partner, Lane Clark and Peacock LLP
Andrew advises insurance clients in both the UK and Australia. His clients include Lloyd's
managing agents, clinical negligence indemnity organisations and a range of corporates. Andrew
has extensive experience of developing stochastic models for capital and reinsurance analyses.
His expertise also extends to advising on the business implications of derivative contracts and
applying mathematical techniques to a wide range of business problems.
Rob Murray

Rob has a wealth of experience in reserving for personal and commercial lines of insurance and
reinsurance business in both Ireland and the London Market. He has been responsible for the
design and development of LCP Radar, our real-time tool for use in deriving development factor
models from risk exposure profiles.
Charl Cronje

Charl advises insurance clients in the UK and overseas. Much of his work involves advising on
reinsurance strategies and developing business modelling processes. His clients include
insurance companies, captives, government bodies and corporates. Charl's particular strength
