LCP Ireland has appointed Michael Butler as Head of Investment Consulting.  He joins from Willis Ireland, having previously held positions at active currency manager Lee Overlay Partners and Mercer Investment Consulting.

Butler's appointment comes as LCP Ireland continues to grow its Investment Consulting Practice, offering advice to trustees and sponsors of pension schemes, charitable organisations and mutual funds, as well as advising clients in the broader area of risk management.

Martin Haugh, Partner, LCP Ireland, said: "We pride ourselves on offering clients results-driven advice and Michael's appointment is a great opportunity to use his wealth of experience to deliver LCP's innovative investment solutions to Irish pension fund trustees.

Butler, a graduate of University College Dublin, is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and a Chartered Financial Analyst.    He is involved with the Chartered Alternative Analysts Association and has experience in providing investment consulting advice to multi-national clients, including advice on asset allocation, de-risking mechanisms, manager research and manager selection. During his time in the asset management industry he was responsible for actively managing a $7.5 billion currency portfolio for global institutional clients.
