Claims Reserving
Claims Reserving is a key area of focus for insurance company management and is often the
key area of judgment in the balance sheet of a non-life insurer. Over the last couple of decades
actuaries have become well-established in non-life claims reserving in Ireland.
In 2001 the Financial Regulator introduced a statutory requirement for actuarial certification
of reserves for direct writers. This has recently been extended to Reinsurers.
We can provide Statements of Actuarial Opinion (Actuarial Certification) for all lines of
non-life business, whether for direct writers, reinsurers or captives.
