Scheme Actuary Services
LCP provide Scheme Actuary services to Defined Benefit pension schemes and this role includes:
- Preparation of regular actuarial valuations and presentation of the results under various assumptions
- Advice on the costs and impact of proposed benefit amendments
- Advice on the risks and potential returns inherent in any proposed investment strategy
- Preparation of actuarial funding certificates and actuarial statements as required under the Pensions Act
- Liaising with the Pensions Board on funding standard and other issues
Assistance and advice in communications with members
The developing legal and compliance framework around pensions means that trustees have a greater need than ever to communicate clearly and accurately with scheme members. LCP can provide presentations to members and assist in drafting explanatory literature.

Training to help trustees satisfy their legal obligations
We provide courses for trustees regarding pensions and trusteeship. Our training is geared towards individual client needs, and courses range in duration from a few hours to a number of days.
