Specialist Training
Some individuals have special responsibilities on their trustee board where a greater depth of
knowledge, skill and understanding is required. We provide specialist training courses to cover,
for example, trustees with special investment responsibilities or responsibility for risk management.
Identifying your requirements in this area will normally follow from face-to-face discussions with
you or from your training needs analysis.
A 2009 OECD report has highlighted the need for trustees to have appropriate risk management
and internal control procedures. This has particular implications for scheme administration but
will affect many other areas of scheme management and funding. Trustees should agree a risk
management strategy, engage the corporate sponsor and maintain an ongoing risk register for
monitoring purposes.
Lane Clark & Peacock can provide specialist training and assistance
to trustees in this area.
