Trustees will be expected to change the way they approach their work
The long-awaited transposition of the IORP II Directive into Irish law remains incomplete, with no end-date confirmed.
A recent publication by the Pensions Authority encourages trustees to engage with the Directive ahead of its transposition, noting a number of ways in which they can prepare. The Pensions Authority publication also signalled changes to the way it supervises defined benefit pension schemes.
