We are delighted to announce that LCP’s Head of Governance, Roma Burke, has been appointed by the Minister of Social Protection as the Chair of the Board of the National Automatic Enrolment Retirement Savings Authority, NAERSA.
NAERSA will supervise and manage the new State Auto Enrolment Scheme, ‘My Future Fund’, in which approximately 800,000 employees, who are not otherwise in an occupational retirement savings scheme or equivalent, will be automatically enrolled into the Fund.
Roma’s appointment is a significant milestone in the progress of the auto enrolment scheme. My Future Fund is expected to become the single largest pension fund in the state within a short period.
Commenting on her appointment as Chair of NAERSA, Roma said:
“My Future Fund will play a vital role in helping workers across Ireland save for retirement, supported by their employers and the State. I appreciate the Minister’s confidence in my appointment and look forward to working with the Board to ensure the effective delivery of its responsibilities.”
