How we delivered in-house pensions technical training to the pension administration team.
The background
The team required a better understanding of pension scheme administration and an understanding how to deliver certain tasks more efficiently, leading to more time for other work. The scheme mirrors the civil service scheme, including the new single scheme.
Our solution
We undertook:
- A Training Needs Analysis to identify the gap between current and required levels of knowledge and form the foundation of a training plan.
- A bespoke training programme developed to incorporate the team’s specific needs into the course content and delivered over two day sessions.
- A high level review of our clients Pensions Administration Function to assess the current processes and procedures and to bring to their attention any possible risk areas.
The results
The administration team have greater understanding of pension administration which provided greater confidence in the accuracy of the pension administration.
